Updating Payment Method

You can update your payment method anytime from your employer account billing settings.

Keeping your payment information up to date helps prevent failed renewals, interrupted subscriptions, and paused job postings.

Manage Billing Through the Stripe Billing Portal

OnlineJobs uses the Stripe Billing Portal for secure payment and subscription management.

From the Billing section, employers can:

  • Update payment methods

  • Add new cards or wallets

  • Manage subscriptions

  • View invoices and receipts

  • Review billing history

How to Update Your Payment Method

To update your payment information:

  1. Log in to your employer dashboard.

  2. Open the sidebar menu.

  3. Go to Billing.

  4. Open the Stripe Billing Portal.

  5. Select your payment methods section.

  6. Add or update your preferred payment method.

  7. Save your changes.

Your updated payment method may be used for future subscription renewals depending on your billing portal settings and preferences.

Supported Payment Methods

Supported payment methods depend on Stripe availability and your region.

Common supported options include:

  • Credit cards

  • Debit cards

  • Apple Pay

  • Google Pay

Available payment methods may vary by country and device.

Multiple Payment Methods

Employers may be able to:

  • Add multiple payment methods

  • Set a preferred default payment method

Payment management options are handled directly through the Stripe Billing Portal interface.

Why Keeping Payment Methods Updated Matters

Expired or outdated payment methods can lead to:

  • Failed subscription renewals

  • Billing interruptions

  • Paused premium features

  • Job postings becoming inactive

Keeping billing information current helps ensure uninterrupted access to employer tools and active listings.

Failed Payment Notifications

If a payment fails:

  • Stripe may retry the payment automatically

  • OnlineJobs may send billing reminders or notifications

  • A short grace period may apply before subscription limitations take effect

If payment issues continue, your account may return to the free plan until billing is resolved.

Troubleshooting

My payment was declined

This may happen if:

  • The card expired

  • The bank blocked the transaction

  • Insufficient funds are available

  • Billing information is incorrect

Try updating your payment method or contacting your payment provider.

Why were my jobs paused?

Jobs may become paused if subscription renewal payments fail and the account returns to the free plan.

Updating your payment method and renewing the subscription can restore eligible job postings.

Can I change my default payment method?

Yes. Default payment method settings can usually be managed directly inside the Stripe Billing Portal.

Pro Tip

We recommend updating your payment information before your current card expires.

Keeping an active payment method on file helps prevent subscription interruptions and keeps your job postings live on OnlineJobs.
