How Long Jobs Stay Live

Job visibility on OnlineJobs depends on your membership plan, subscription status, and any expiration settings you choose when publishing the job.

By default, jobs remain live until they are manually paused, deleted, or affected by subscription changes.

Free Plan Job Duration

The free employer plan includes:

  • 1 total job posting

  • 1 active job posting

By default, free plan jobs stay live indefinitely unless:

  • You manually pause the job

  • You delete the job

  • You set a custom expiration date

Features are limited on a free plan.

Premium Plan Job Duration

For paid membership plans, jobs remain active as long as:

  • Your subscription is active

  • The job is not manually paused or deleted

  • No custom expiration date has been reached

This allows employers to keep listings live continuously while their subscription remains active.

Set a Custom Expiration Date

When creating or editing a job posting, you can choose to set a custom expiration date.

This is useful if:

  • Hiring is time-sensitive

  • Applications should close after a certain date

  • The role has a limited recruitment window

Once the expiration date is reached:

  • The job becomes hidden from public listings

  • Candidate applications are disabled

What Happens When a Subscription Expires?

If your paid subscription expires:

  • All active jobs are automatically paused

  • Jobs become hidden from public listings

  • Applications are disabled temporarily

You will receive subscription expiration warnings before this happens.

Once your subscription is renewed:

  • You can reactivate eligible job postings again.

Returning to the Free Plan

If your subscription expires and your account returns to the free plan:

  • Free plan limitations will apply again

  • You may keep only the job posting capacity included in the free plan

The free plan currently includes:

  • 1 total job posting

  • 1 active job posting

Do Paused Jobs Still Expire?

Yes.

Paused jobs still follow their original expiration settings and membership rules.

For example:

  • A paused job with a custom expiration date can still expire while paused

  • Subscription limitations still apply to paused listings

Reactivating Expired or Paused Jobs

Depending on your current membership status, you may be able to:

  • Reactivate paused jobs

  • Edit expired listings

  • Publish jobs again after renewing your subscription

These actions can be managed from the My Jobs section of your dashboard.

Troubleshooting

Why did my job disappear?

A job may become hidden if:

  • It expired

  • Your subscription expired

  • The job was manually paused

  • The listing is under moderation review

Can I reactivate an expired job?

Yes, in many cases expired jobs can be reactivated if your membership plan allows active job postings.

Will I be warned before my subscription expires?

Yes. OnlineJobs sends reminders before subscription expiration to help prevent unexpected job interruptions.

Pro Tip

Keep your job postings updated and remove inactive listings regularly.

Fresh and active job postings often perform better in search results and attract more relevant applicants on OnlineJobs.
